Shut up, Schultz...

I FINALLY HAD AN OFFICE OFFICE MOMENT.

This morning, at our staff meeting, my co-worker made an announcement about a special running at Benihana, which got me immediately thinking about an episode during the third season of The Office. The one with Pam and Angela’s dueling Christmas parties where Michael, Dwight, Andy and Jim end up at Benihana. That one.

So I chirped a little bit at the mention, and people looked at me kinda funny. I should have told them I was having an office Office moment (or an Office office moment), and maybe they would have gotten it. But then maybe we’d end up talking about whether or not our office life resembled the show and which characters we were most like and then I would hate my Monday morning and my day-life a little more than I already do.

I took the conversation ‘offline,’ as they say in the biz. I told the co-worker that brought up Benihana that I cracked up at the thought of that episode of The Office. She asked if I thought our office has become like that Office.

She told me that as long as she was Pam it didn’t really matter one way or the other.

I think I’m probably some combination of Creed and Meredith, pictured above (with Pam, of course). I think this mostly because I take dumps in the ladies room and drink more than I should. My co-worker thinks I might be the female version of Jim, without the Pam romance.

I sort of need a new day job.
